Special Contract Ratification Meeting July 23, 2008
Increase Journeyman Package by:
$1.90 with full retroactivity effective to June 30, 2008.
$1.90 effective the first full payroll period on or after June 1, 2009.
$1.95 effective the first full payroll period on or after June 1, 2010.
$2.05 effective the first full payroll period on or after June 1, 2011.
Apprentice, MES & MET all will receive $.05 for the International Training Fund paid by MCA
APPRENTICE: The Association will agree to discuss increases for Apprentices at the end of the second year of this agreement. Each Apprentice shall receive a $1.00/hour increase above the Apprentice Period Wage Rate for each of the following Welding Certifications which are passed and remain current: UA-21, UA-22, UA-41 and UA-1.
MES/MET package:
MES II – Upon completion of 120 hours of training = MES I + $1.00
MES III – Upon completion of UA STAR Exam = MES I +$2.00
MET will receive .50 in the 3rd. year of this agreement.
MES Service: The service of individual refrigeration, air-conditioning, heating, ventilation or other environmental units of 40 HP (tons)
Vacation & Holiday: New Language: Where the Employer’s accounting system does not allow a direct deposit account for overtime hours (as of the effective date of this agreement) the Employee may receive a fixed weekly Vacation and Holiday payment.
Training: All Construction Journeymen will be encouraged to have eight (8) hours of upgrade training per year. All Service Journeymen will be encouraged to have sixteen (16) hours of upgrade training per year.
SUB Language change: The maximum benefit will increase to $475.00.
Pay Day: In the event the Employer wishes to mail the Employee’s check, the Employer must also offer the Employee the choice of direct deposit.
