  1. Page 9, WORKING RULES, ARTICLE III-RULES, Section 4:

       Currently reads:  No member shall be paid off by telephone or telegram.

       Change to read:  No member shall be laid off by telephone or telegram.

 

  1. Page 13, WORKING RULES, ARTICLE VI-COMMITTEES: (NEW)

       Change to add: Section 11.  The Business Manager shall appoint a By-Laws Committee who shall serve for the same term in office as the other officers of the Local Union.

  1. Page 17, CONSTITUTION, ARTICLE III-OFFICERS AND SALARIES, Section 4:

       Currently reads: The paid officers shall receive whatever raises that the journeyman pipefitters receive in wages per hour and all fringe benefits, which are negotiated each year. (Based on a forty hour work week.)

       Change to read: The paid officers shall receive whatever raises that the journeyman pipefitters receive in wages per hour and all fringe benefits, which are negotiated each year. (Based on a forty-eight (48) hour work week, fringe benefits on a forty (40) hour work week.)

  1. Page 19, CONSTITUTION, ARTICLE IV-ELECTIONS, Section 5:

       Currently reads: No member shall be able to vote at any election unless he has been a  member of Local 636 in good standing one (1) year prior to the election. The voting eligibility qualification is further referenced in the U.A. Constitution, Section 124.

      Change to read: No member shall be able to vote at any election unless he has been a member of Local 636 in good standing one (1) year prior to the election. The voting eligibility qualification is further referenced in the U.A. Constitution, Sections 124 and 148b.                                                                       

 

  1. Page 25, CONSTITUTION, ARTICLE XII-STEWARDS DUTIES, Section 12:

       Currently reads: Members of the Executive Board shall not be appointed Stewards.

       Change to read: Members of the Executive Board may be appointed Stewards   

 

  1. Page 33, CONSTITUTION, ARTICLE XXI-REVENUE: (NEW)

       Change to add: Section 7. Monthly dues for Apprentices in this Local shall be in accordance with the established rates referenced in the U.A. Constitution, Section 130, and are payable at the start of each quarter.

                                               

         Apprentices will be eligible for refund of their current monthly direct dues payment by certified attendance at that month’s Local          Union meeting.

 

 

  1. Page 35, CONSTITUTION, ARTICLE XXIII-AMENDMENTS:

         Currently reads: All amendments to this Constitution, Rules of Order, and Working Rules, shall be presented in writing, and signed by fifteen (15) or more members, who have been in good standing in Local 636 for three (3) years or more, and shall be read at three (3) regular meetings before action thereon can be taken. There shall not be more than one (1) reading at any meeting with the requirement of a majority for adoption.

          All previous Rules of Order, Working Rules, and Constitutions are hereby repealed.

         Change to read: All amendments to this Constitution, Rules of Order, and Working Rules, shall be presented in writing, and signed by fifteen (15) or more members, who have been in good standing in Local 636 for three (3) years or more. A request for amendment shall be submitted to the Business Manager and be referred in it’s entirety to the By-Laws Committee for disposition at the earliest possible time. Majority concurrence by the By-Laws Committee shall be required prior to presentation of any proposed amendment to the Local Union at a regular meeting. It shall then be read at three (3) regular meetings before action thereon can be taken. There shall not be more than one (1) reading at any meeting with the requirement of a majority for adoption.

           All previous Rules of Order, Working Rules, and Constitutions are hereby repealed.
